New Priest Appointments and Appointment Changes

The following appointments and assignments are effective July 1, 2022 unless otherwise noted.

Central Deanery

---

Reverend James Dorman has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Rita Parish, Dallas. Father Dorman has been serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Mark Garrett has been appointed Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Dallas and is continuing as Chaplain at Bishop Lynch High School. Father Garrett has been serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Monica Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Antonio Liberman-Ormaza has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Edward Parish, Dallas and Chaplain of Baylor Hospital. Father Liberman-Ormaza has been serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Augustine Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Luke Turner, O.S.B. has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Dallas. Father Turner is new to the Diocese.

 

North Central Deanery

Reverend Paul Bechter has been appointed Associate Chaplain at the University of Dallas and Priest- In- Residence at St. Monica Parish, Dallas. Father Bechter will also continue his assignment as Vocation Director for the Diocese.

Reverend Thomas Condon, O.P. has been appointed Priest-In-Residence while on Sabbatical at St. Albert the Great Dominican Priory, Irving. Father Condon is the Superior Emeritus of the Southern Dominican Friars – Province of St. Martin de Porres and is new to the Diocese.

Reverend Jacob Dankasa has been relieved of his duties as Chaplain of the Nigerian Catholic Community of Our Lady of Assumption for the Diocese of Dallas. He will continue as Pastoral Administrator of Holy Family of Nazareth Parish, Irving.

Reverend Stephen Ingram has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of St. Joseph Parish, Richardson. Father Ingram has been serving as Parochial Vicar of Prince of Peace Parish and Chaplain at John Paul II High School, Plano.

Reverend Tymoteusz Ksiazkiewicz has been appointed Chaplain of Campus Ministry at the University of Texas-Dallas, Richardson and Priest-In-Residence at Prince of Peace Parish, Plano. Father Ksiazkiewicz has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Richardson.

Reverend Joshua Mavelil has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Holy Family of Nazareth Parish, Irving. Father Mavelil is a priest of the Syro-Malankara Eparchy of Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India and is new to the Diocese.

Very Reverend Russ Mower, V.F. has been appointed to the Formation Staff at Holy Trinity Seminary. Father Mower has been serving as Pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Dallas, Chaplain at Bishop Dunne High School and Dean of the Southwest Deanery.

Reverend Reuben Ortiz-Montelongo has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Richardson. Father Ortiz-Montelongo is a priest from the Diocese of Wichita, Kansas and has been serving as a Supply Priest while assisting his parents.

Reverend Carl Paustian, O.P. has been appointed Vocation Director and In-Residence at St. Albert the Great Dominican Priory, Irving by his Religious Superior. Father Paustian is new to the Diocese.

*Reverend Elijiah Thomson has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Monica Parish, Dallas. Father Thomson is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

 

Northeastern Deanery

Reverend Robinson Agbadugo has been appointed Chaplain of the Nigerian Catholic Community of Our Lady of Assumption for the Diocese of Dallas. Father Agbadugo will also continue as Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart Parish, Rowlett.

Very Reverend Wilmer Daza, V.F. has been appointed Pastor of Divine Mercy of Our Lord Parish, Mesquite. Father Daza has been serving as Pastor of Nuestra Señora Del Pilar Parish, Dallas and Dean of the Southeast Deanery.

Reverend Iñigo Lopez has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of Sacred Heart Parish, Rowlett. Father Lopez has been serving as Pastoral Administrator of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Dallas.

*Reverend Herbert Sebastían Martínez has been assigned Parochial Vicar at St. Augustine, Dallas. Father Martinez is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

Reverend Martin Moreno has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Pius X Parish, Dallas. Father Moreno has been serving as Pastor of St. Elizabeth Parish, Bonham.

Reverend Giuseppe Spoto has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Dallas. Father Spoto has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. Pius X Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Ernesto Torres has retired, effective May 31, 2022. Father Torres had been serving as Pastor at Divine Mercy of Our Lord Parish, Mesquite.

Reverend Joel Bako has been appointed Hospital Chaplain for Collin County and Priest-In-Residence at Our Lady of Angel Parish, Allen. Father Bako has been serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Frisco.

Very Reverend Jason Cargo, V.F. has been appointed Pastor of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Plano. Father Cargo has been serving as Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Richardson and Dean of the North Central Deanery.

*Reverend Cristian Casado Carmona has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, McKinney. Father Casado Carmona is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

Reverend Peter Chinnappan has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, McKinney and Holy Family Quasi Parish, Van Alstyne. Father Chinnappan has been serving as Parochial Vicar at Holy Family of Nazareth Parish, Irving.

Reverend Delfin Condori, I.V.E. has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of St. Elizabeth Parish, Bonham. Father Condori has been serving as Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Dallas.

*Reverend Michael Likoudis has been assigned Parochial Vicar of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Plano. Father Likoudis is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

*Reverend Ricardo Reyes Mata has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Jude Parish, Allen. Father Reyes Mata is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

*Reverend Lucas Moreira de Sales has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Prince of Peace Parish, Plano. Father Moreira de Sales is a newly ordained Priest of the Diocese.

Reverend Bartholomew Nwafor has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Frisco. Father Nwafor has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, McKinney.

Reverend Roshan Fernandes has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of Nuestra Señora del Pilar Parish, Dallas. Father Fernandes has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Plano.

Reverend Lauro Gonzalez, M.N.M. has been assigned outside of the Diocese, effective April 10, 2022. Father Gonzalez had been serving as Pastor of St. James Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Mauricio Gomez, M.N.M. has been appointed Pastor of St. James Parish, Dallas, effective April 10, 2022. Father Gomez has been serving as Parochial Vicar of St. James Parish, Dallas.

Reverend Danilo Ramos has been appointed Priest-In-Residence at Nuestra Señora del Pilar Parish, Dallas, until his retirement in the fall. Father Ramos has been serving as Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish, Rowlett.

 

Southwestern Deanery

Reverend Peter John Ambrose, M.S.F.S. has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Grand Prairie. Father Ambrose is a Missionary Society of St. Francis de Sales Priest and is new to the Diocese.

Reverend Emmett Hall has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Dallas. He will also continue to serve as Director of Diaconal Ministry and Formation for the Diocese.

Reverend Marco Rangel has been appointed Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Grand Prairie. Father Rangel has been serving as Pastor of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Plano.

Very Reverend Jorge Rativa, O.P. has been relieved of his duty as Sacramental Minister at Corpus Christi Parish, Ferris. Father Rativa has been elected Prior of St. Albert Dominican Priory, Irving.

Reverend Manuel Sabando has been appointed Pastoral Administrator of Corpus Christi Parish, Ferris. Father Sabando has been serving as Pastoral Administrator of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Lancaster.

Reverend Joseph Trinh has been appointed Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Lancaster. Father Trinh has been serving as Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Grand Prairie.

Deacon Jose Mũniz has been relieved of his duty of Deacon Administrator of Corpus Christi Parish, Ferris. He will continue as a Deacon for the parish.
