Job Description
This position is needed from May 2022 thru August 2022
The Parish Receptionist is the first point of contact with the church and should present a positive, professional image to visitors to the church office. Responsibility for the general organization and smooth operation of the front office.
The position includes, but is not limited to the following duties:
• Opens the parish office at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm
• Provides welcome to all visitors to the parish office
• Answers and routes phone calls to the proper staff
• Registers new families to the parish
• Schedules Mass intentions for parishioners
• Maintains the parishioner database
• Orders all office supplies and schedules necessary maintenance of office equipment
• Provides staff with clerical and secretarial assistance when appropriate
• Provides back up to the Parish Sacramental Secretary when needed
• Other duties determined by your supervisor
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Bilingual – English/Spanish
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Typing and general secretarial and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
