Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch; Fridays 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM as well as nights and weekends when needed
Weekends/OT Required: Occasionally

Job Description

The Outreach Coordinator is accountable to the Adult and Family Ministry Director and ultimately the Pastoral Administrator. S/he works closely with the Outreach Commission to plan, organize, and promote outreach and volunteer opportunities for the Parish. Including but not limited to various collection drives and other service-oriented programs. Sets the vision for Outreach across Parish Ministries in view of present and developing community needs. Receives, reviews, and recommends benevolence requests - including meeting with parishioners in need of financial assistance, ascertaining needs, and making final recommendations based on the availability of resources. Handles emergency phone calls/requests for priests outside of office hours. Manages programs and activities in addition to supervising, supporting, and recruiting volunteers for the various ministries.

Job Requirements

Educations: College degree preferred.
Knowledge: Bilingual: English/Spanish strongly preferred. Familiar with Catholic Social Teaching.
Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to build and support volunteer teams. Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and highly organized, able to prioritize tasks to meet weekly deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Publisher, and Outlook; familiar with Excel. Interviewing experience a plus. Able to lift items up to 30 lbs. Available to address after-hours emergency phone calls.
