Job Description

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy of North Texas (SVdP Pharmacy) is a free standing, Class A pharmacy that provides free medication to uninsured, low income families in Texas. SVdP Pharmacy’s formulary consists of medications that treat various chronic health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma as well as behavioral health medications such as antidepressant and anxiety medication. Since inception in 2018, the pharmacy has been growing rapidly and for this year alone our goal is to provide 100,000 prescriptions to our neighbors. We are looking for a dynamic development professional to help continue the growth to even higher levels!

Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator – Pharmacy furthers the growth and development of the Pharmacy through strategic fundraising, stewardship, marketing and public relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prospect, develop, cultivate, and steward a pipeline of individual, corporate, foundation, government agencies, and faith-based donors
• Support the Development Team in efforts to meet annual pharmacy goals through generating a balance of major gifts, appeals, events, and grants revenue
• Support the planning, writing, and submission of Pharmacy grants in partnership with the Development Manager
• Provide key stakeholders and donors with regular updates on the Pharmacy’s progress
• In collaboration with the Development and Communications Coordinator, create, develop, and maintain Pharmacy marketing materials
• In collaboration with Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving, support planned giving objectives as they relate to the Pharmacy
• Provide special events support as needed – this may include the occasional evening or weekend
• In collaboration with Development Team, support all donor stewardship activities and outreach

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good understanding and appreciation for the vision, mission, principles, and practices of the organization
• Experience developing and implementing creative, higher revenue producing campaigns
• Ability to sustain progress on many program channels simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, including written materials and personal interactions in both one on one and in group settings
• Proven track record of meeting department/organizational goals
• Ability to maintain donor confidentiality
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Instant Messaging, Virtual Meetings)
• Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of prior experience in development/fundraising including donor relationship cultivation and management, grant writing, reporting, and events management
• Microsoft Office proficiency required, ability to create/edit materials using Adobe Create Cloud strongly preferred
• Experience in donor database management software (Salesforce preferred)
• Must be able to successfully balance multiple responsibilities/projects and manage them to completion
• Ability to work in a faith based (Catholic) environment
